On Jan. 19, 2019, QSR Web published this in-depth feature of our founder, Mark Kulkis, and his philosophy on our brand. It highlights a few of the reasons our restaurant franchise opportunity stands out from other salad businesses – namely, he classifies himself as a “meat-and-potatoes” type of guy! While some prospective franchisees might be surprised to learn that the #1 chopped salad franchise wasn’t spearheaded by a veggie-lover, it is precisely that appreciation for other foods that makes ours a versatile brand. Our unique blends, proprietary dressings, and generous portion sizes were all designed with people like Kulkis in mind. Not only does our menu appeal to salad-lovers and health-conscious eaters, it’s just as popular with customers who are just looking for a great-tasting, filling meal. We believe it’s just that versatility that’s helping us to expand beyond our Southern California home to states like Texas that are famous for their love of a good slab of beef.
The article also goes on to describe how Chop Stop franchises have adapted to customer demands. For instance, we initially didn’t offer soda in our restaurants, but soon found that our customers enjoy our food alongside their favorite bubbly beverages. Now, soda fountains are an integral part of our restaurant.
